IF GOD IS SUCH A LOVING GOD SEND PEOPLE TO HELL?
This is a question that was asked of John MacArthur (and of course many other people: If God is such a loving God, why does He send people to hell?
Here is a good answer from John MacArthur found here:
Answer:
Did you know that there is no verse in the Bible that says God sends people to hell.
There is a verse that states rather, fear Him who can destroy both your soul and body in hell. - Matthew 10:28
Ezekiel 18:23 - I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked.
2 Peter 3:9 - The Lord is longsuffering toward us not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. - NKJV
God accepts all the responsibility of salvation and gives man all the responsibility of damnation. Always in Scripture it is man's responsibility.
Jesus said, you refuse to come to me so that you may have life. - John 5:40
Jesus wept over Jerusalem - Luke 19:41-44
Jesus said, I will never turn away the one that comes to me. - John 6:37
It is man that has a choice, God has the power to destroy those that get there.
All you have to do is look at Jesus Christ on the cross and the agony that He endured, and you can know that God did not want anyone to go to hell.
That was the wonder of the work of Christ.
